"I am not saying I am having fun out there while I am running 24th, but I have been here when we dominated, and I was lucky and fortunate enough to come into this organization at a great point in their history," said Larson, reflecting on the current performance slump.

"This year, I would say he has been more motivating because he knows that everybody is down and not happy with where we are running," Larson noted regarding Hendrick's hands-on leadership style during the adversity.
Hendrick Motorsports enters the final stretch of the regular season facing unusual pressure, with only Chase Elliott and William Byron safely positioned alongside Larson inside the playoff picture. Meanwhile, Alex Bowman continues to battle back after missing earlier races due to health issues.

"When we have not all run like we want to, I think that is when you have those meetings that are tough conversations, but good things come out of them," Larson explained about the internal review process.
